Foreclosure homes are THE HOTTEST Investment Proposition Today

The hottest commodities in the current investment market situation are undoubtedly the foreclosure homes. Low  priced foreclosed homes are so much in demand that they have started bidding wars in between the first time investors and those  who are already experienced real estate investors. Although there is are a lot of newly built unsold homes throughout the  America, buying a foreclosed home is far more attractive proposition to the investor when comparing to the ordinary homes offered on the open market.  

The main reason being that the banks and other finacial institutions are in control of the property and controling the sale of the foreclosed properties.  In most cases, banks and other financial institutions are entitled to sell the foreclosed properties  at a price considerably lower than the original purchse price to recover outstanding debt and cover the expenses.

Now it has became very common to see dozens of bidders competing for a single foreclosed property at various auction sites. Although there is large number of foreclosed homes available, well priceed properties are going fast. Now it is common for buyers who are bidding for the  first time to be out bided again and again by some seasoned cashed up investors, who show up with bags of cash to purchase these lower  priced properties at a drop of a hammer on the steps of the county courthouse.

There are number of such markets worth investigating, with great and everincreasing number of such foreclosure homes. Some areas  particularly riddled with unfilled vacant homes are South Florida and New York. In some areas  like Manhattan the foreclosure listings have increased by more than ever in history, over the last year alone.

Such oversupply of  marketed  prices of these foreclosure homes are now setting the benchmark for the entire real estate market and so it is pushing  down the value of new homes even further. So how can a ordinary person trying to sell his home or a property developer trying to sell his new apartment can compete with them?

When investing in foreclosure properties it seems that the winners are the ones who have the endurance to hang around for  the right property to come down in price and on the market and they don’t get drawn into the competition of bidding.
